Big Decisions about What I’ll Do with My Life

I Decided to Achieve my Dreams and Forget Everything Else. You Can Do the Same!

You might remember when I wrote “What Should I Do with My Life?“. I got plenty of opinions and I’m more sure than ever about what I want from my future. I want to achieve all my biggest dreams and forget everything secondary.

There was tens of helpful comments coming after that post. Here are some of my favorite motivational comments from you, my gorgeous readers…

Motivational Comments from You

1. “So many questions eh? The truth is that you probably already know deep down what makes you happiest. Forget the salary and the big house and concentrate on what you most enjoy. You have to work for a long time and there’s nothing worse than having a job you don’t enjoy even if you’re in a super posh house. We have absolutely nothing, no house, no jobs, no possessions, just each other and we’ve never been happier.” – Jonno

2. “You have to ask yourself what would not feel too much like work when you are doing it and if you picture yourself doing it everyday. At the end of the its what will make you happy. Good luck!” – Agnes

3. “Oh my goodness, you’ve got so much going on at the moment!
I’ve always followed my dreams, so I can basically recommend you to do the same. Yeah, career in medicine pays out well – but then again, if you’re able to find something that makes you happy from the marketing, I can’t see why you couldn’t work hard and earn as much from that as you would earn from medicine. Then again, it’s a tricky question. 😀” – Jasmin

There was plenty more great and super motivational ones. I’m very honored to have guys reading this blog and following my life! ❤

My Decisions

I will follow my heart and head to amazing life doing more creative things. I’m focusing more on my job in company of my dreams.

I will head abroad as soon as possible. At the summer it will mean a roadtrip around Europe working with my book project. What comes to my job I’d love to transfer to the UK first for more experience. The ultimate goal is still the US. I cannot wait to move back!

I would like to live couple of years in UK, some in Australia and maybe couple in UAE and Singapore during next twenty years. I though want to live most of my life in the US. NYC and Cali / Oregon are in brightest dreams. In general I want a job that allows me to travel a lot.

Since the last post where I was thinking about this I’ve decided to quit studying medicine and make economics my only major. I’ll keep working with my internet based marketing & leadership BBA with goal to graduate within 2-3 years. I’ve already done half of the courses but I don’t want to hurry because I’ll also have a job and this blog to do.

Doing things I enjoy makes me feel very happy and released at the moment. I’ve been doing couple of medical courses during this winter and to be honest it hasn’t been very fun to be there. Consumer behavior and my other economics courses are a lot more interesting.

I’ve also realized that it’s possible to make quite good money with marketing related jobs too. It might not be as good as plastic surgeons’ American salary for most but still. And getting those really big salaries isn’t still impossible though it might require more. Maybe those are possible after writing couple of best selling books, making this blog big and doing job in marketing.

I hope you all can do things you enjoy and build a career around things you love. 🙂

What would you love to do for living? What is your biggest dream?

  1. If there is only one thing we can advise, it is to follow your heart. The Chinese have a saying : “every industry will produce a champion”. So be it plastic surgeons or marketing executives, one can equally gain success. It is hard to make a decision, because there is so much in front of you. Its like a buffet. Where to begin? Perhaps from the starters?

  3. I wish I was young enough to be making these decisions again.
My advice to you is to train for profession that you enjoy and motivates you. Travel when you can before settling down in life to start a family, you are young and have your whole life in front of you, enjoy! And good luck!

  5. Such lovely decision to follow your heart. When I am also stressed out and do not know how to decide on things and options, I always tell myself to do things that move you to love and everything else will follow. After that, it seems everything is clear and light. Enjoy life!

  6. I’ve found this article really interesting, as a 22 yo that also didn’t knew what I would do with my life. My biggest dream is to be able to be a singer and a published author.

    1. I think many of us feel a bit lost in their early twenties. I kind of knew what I wanted but I wasn’t quite sure if I can do those things. There was quite hard external pressure to do other things than the ones I enjoyed the most. But following your own dreams and heart definitely is the best thing to do in long run! 🙂

    1. The most important thing is that you enjoy what you’re doing, glamorous or not! 🙂 I wish I could do something writing, photography and marketing related. Don’t exactly know what but at least I know the guidelines to follow. 🙂

  10. It seems you have a lot of plans, and that’s great. Only when you set a high goal, will you come far with achieving your dreams. However, be careful not to set too high goals. You may get disappointed.
As I read, you decided to chase after your dreams. I strongly support you. It’s excellent when you know what exactly you want to do in your life. Then the only thing that remains is achieving your goals. Good luck!

  11. Huzzah! Congrats for taking control of your life and your dreams. Too many people (me included) are a little afraid of deviating from the norm or leaving their steady-paying job for their real passions. Whatever it is you feel you should be doing, DO IT. I’d like to do that for myself some day. 🙂

  12. My biggest dream is to have a simple life. To have a passive income while I take care of my family. I know it takes a lot of effort and time to make that happen, but for now, the best way to achieve it is to take one step at a time. And yes, follow your heart if that’s what makes you the happiest person then. Besides, life isn’t just about money. What we have here in this world is just temporary. So live life. 🙂

    1. That sounds like a nice life! At some point I wish I could stop working and just invest my money and live with the passive income. That’s quite far from now but it would be great. First I’ll do my career and explore the world. 🙂

  13. This is something I think about often and I think it’s so important to find your true calling in life. I am still working on it but I am loving blogging so I would love to turn that into something.

    1. Start focusing more on it, network and discuss with others who are doing blogging for living. Try your wings. And if it still feels right, let go the day job. First you though have to have a plan and confidence!
