Fox Harris Jimbaran, Bali, Indonesia offers travelers safe place to stay with an amazing infinity pool and sunset view from there. Jimbaran area might not be cleanest or fanciest place in Bali, Indonesia but everyone’s friendly and the local culture is strongly presented in the area.

 

What comes to the hotel Fox Harris Jimbaran the service is excellent and everyone is really willing to help you. The reception is there for you 24/7. Additionally, you have restaurants, spa, gym and pool there for you.

Like mentioned earlier, the area in general is not the nicest. Streets are crowded and there is plenty of small not-too-hygienic street food stores and courts everywhere. You might also see some wild dogs roaming around. At the beginning I was very worried about our safety – if I’d be in similar looking area somewhere in the US I’d be sure I’ll get robbed.

 

However, I was very wrong! Jimbaran area is very safe place especially during the daytime. We were not much out during nights but when we were there was nothing to be scared about. Just local friendly people and couple of tourists around – and nobody wanted anything but good to others. How lovely atmosphere there is!

 

What’s great with the location of the Fox Harris Jimbaran is that it’s just two minutes walk away from the beautiful Jimbaran beach where you can swim, play with the waves, surf, sunbath, have a drink, etc. It’s a lovely place where you should go have fun – and see the sunset, it’s amazing!

 

The hotel is located only couple 3 kilometers (2 miles) away from the airport but it takes 30-60 minutes to get there because the chaotic traffic of Bali. The hotel offers airport pick up service (email or call them in prior to get it). When you’re leaving they’ll also get you a taxi.

Hotel Fox Harris Jimbaran offers visitors 24/7 reception and room service. There is additionally very friendly staff everywhere from the front desk to all the restaurant personnel. Everyone you’ll meet will have a big smile on their face and a great attitude to work and visitors. Only bad thing though was that they did not always understand what we meant or wanted but after all things always worked out well.

 

The best part of the hotel is definitely the infinity pool in 6th floor! In the 6th floor there is also a gym both were open from 6am to 10pm during our visit. The gym is quite small but you don’t probably go to Bali to gym exercise anyway. Rather go swimming and enjoy the amazing sea view with some palm trees around.

 

 

When you’re in the pool area there is also WTF (I know, that name is quite hilarious) pool bar from which you can get delicious juices, smoothies and mocktails. You can drink then either at the tables or deckchairs or even in the pool if you wish. In case you wonder, yes, they also offer alcoholic drinks and food but I didn’t find those very good. However, their fresh juices are amazingly delicious.

 

There is another wtf restaurant in ground floor but we did not test that one since there was so much good places to eat near the hotel. If you prefer to eat, drink, enjoy spa or get your laundry done in the hotel, you can leave deposit to reception for everything you shop in the hotel or you can pay by cash every time you shop something.

 

Massage area + prices from summer 2018

 

The spa in 6th floor of Hotel Fox Harris Jimbaran is also amazing and super relaxing 60 minute full body massages cost around 25€ ($30). We tested their Balinese massage which was very nice and relaxing and I can highly recommend that if you’re having sore muscles after playing in the beach and walking around.

 

The price we payed (around 45€ ($50) per night) included a room with daily cleaning, breakfast in 6th floor (not too special but okay compared to price), unlimited use of pool and gym and 2 bottles of complimentary water to the room.

 

Breakfast

 

Mostly I was very happy to the hotel but there was couple of little flaws: a) Bad sound insulation and some loud ceremonies happening around in 2 of our 6 days in there (those were noisy during mornings but not that noisy otherwise), b) there is not enough deck chairs in the roof top – if you come to the pool after 11am they’re very likely already all taken. You can still stay in regular chairs or wait for your turn but it was slightly annoying in my opinion. However, I think the hotel offered great value for money.

 

Check out time in this hotel 12pm, can be moved to 1pm without additional charge, moving to 4pm would have cost around 25€ ($30) which is almost the same than taking one extra night there. I would have definitely taken extra night if we knew that in prior!

 

Overall, this hotel is trying very hard to be premium / luxury resort but not quite there (yet?). Hopefully they’ll make some small fixes in future to become even better.

We had executive room with king-sized bed, big couch, tables, TV and a chair. The room we had was spacious and had also an ensuite bathroom including a tub, sink and toilet. Two big towels per day and one hand towel available in total. However, if you call the reception, they’ll change them when needed.

 

Great thing was that there was 4 international plugs available (are these combined plugs some Asian thing? These existed in Singapore too but I’ve never seen these in Europe or America). Not so great thing was that the room was not too clean if you take a close look on the details (like small corners and under the tables there might be some old dust) but the basic things were just fine.

 

Anyhow, again I think you cannot get everything in place this valuable. The bed was cozy, room was spacious and we had all things mandatory. And even own little fridge so I was happy. The wi-fi was also complimentary everywhere in the hotel area. It wasn’t the fasted but we managed with that for 6 days. If you want to work and need internet, the wi-fi might not however be good enough for your needs.

During our stay the hotel was around 45€ ($50) per night for two. You should however check the up to date rate from their website.

 

 

Overall

 

 

Fox Harris Jimbaran, Bali, Indonesia is a valuably priced hotel offering great service and amazing pool experience. The hotel offers also spa, restaurants, gym and complimentary wi-fi. This is great place to stay if you’re going to Jimbaran area and don’t want to pay hundreds per night. You’ll also love this place if you enjoy sunsets by the pool and non-alcoholic fresh juices, smoothies and drinks.
