OOTD: Graduation Party Look for My Bachelor of Medicine Graduation

Posted by

Two weeks ago we celebrated my graduation with all my course mates + avecs. The dress code was evening dress + dress suit. I was wearing super glamorous and beautiful beige dress from Dazzling by Zazabella. With the dress I had some beautiful red accessories and matching red lipstick.

The celebration included cocktails, speeches, songs, live music, dinner, interesting conversations and a lot of fun. Next morning we continued the celebration with a brunch with course mates and avecs.

You might have already seen some photos of the celebration and my look in my some but today I’ll share some more pictures and details of the look. I hope you enjoy!

Hair made by Katja in Hiuskulma Anna, Kuopio, Finland

Doing my hair took one hour in the hairdresser’s chair. Katja, my hairdresser had for sure done plenty of buns for celebrations. For me doing the similar look would probably take hours and the outcome would not even be that nice.

It was a bit scary to go to completely new hairdresser without trying this look ever before. Anyhow, I think she did excellent work. At first, the bun wasn’t what I was thinking but like 5 minutes fixing it ended up really nice. Additionally, she made it last for two days which was great.

If you’re looking for a hairdresser doing bun for you for graduation, wedding or some other similar occasion, I can recommend this place based on my experience. 🙂 And in case you wonder, I payed my hair and nothing in this post is sponsored. I always clearly tell if I’ve cooperated with a company.

Lips: YSL Rouge Pur Couture tone 50

Otherwise similar to my everyday makeup

I did makeup myself for this celebration. That saved me around 40 euros ($50) and I think I did pretty good job.

It was superb to look awesome for a day. Usually when I’m in the university I don’t look too good. It’s usually my ”I just woke up and ran here” -look haha. And it was also weird and nice to see my course mates looking normal. When you study medicine you kind of have to look neutral if there are any patient things during the day.

I love wearing light colors like beige and natural white with some red accessories. Bright red always lift an otherwise neutral look to the next level and makes it more interesting. See some previous looks tuned with red accessories here:

Cheers for my graduation!

What do think about the look? What kind of color combos and accessories you like for a bit fancier celebrations? (B)

  3. Gorgeous look! I love the open detail at the back–balances out the floor-length. You look so lovely with your hair in an updo. Are you planning to wear it that way for your wedding?

    1. Thank you, Beth! My wedding dress will be white and a bit different than this one. But the style is kind of similar – classy and stylish. 🙂 I love the detail at the back of this dress as well!
