Hotel Review: Swiss Night By Fassbind, Zürich, Switzerland
Location
Location ★★★★★★★★★☆
The hotel is located in a walking distance from everything in the downtown like Limmat river, restaurants, most sights, etc. Additionally, it’s located in a quiet and calm neighborhood where it feels safe to walk around even during the nighttime. If you’re traveling alone, this a good option because of the safe area and 24/7 reception that’s there to help in case you need anything.

Welcome Greeting ★★★★★★★★☆☆
The hotel has 24/7 reception where the employees they speak at least English and German. The service was friendly and we had nothing to complain really.
What comes to other services the hotel offers breakfast for 18 franks if prepaid or 20 franks if you pay it at the morning. We did not try this since we rather shopped our food from local grocery stores. No spa, pool, gym or other luxury things available.

Our room was quite spacious one. The room of ours included a big bed (two separate beds actually). There were soft and super comfy sheets, pillows and blankets. Only flaw was that the two beds started easily to separate which caused an annoying hole forming in between them.
In addition to the bed there was a little table and couple of chairs in our room. Moreover there were international electricity plugs available for at least the US, UK and European plugs. The room also had an interesting red decoration and design lamp. Bad thing was that the sound insulation is not good at all – luckily nobody was too noisy during our visit but it was still annoying to hear what others are doing or even saying.
When traveling during the summertime it can sometimes be really hot in Switzerland. Fortunately, the room has an AC which worked similarly like in the US – the room was cold in less than a minute which was great since it was around 90 degrees (25-30 Celsius) during our visit. In addition to the AC, there was also a minibar available. It does not have sensors so you can put your own snacks in if you wish.
Our room also included an ensuite bathroom with toilet seat, sink and shower. It was spacious enough, had a good lighting, free shower products and towels to use. The bathroom was quite nice and clean.
Other notes
During our stay the hotel was around $150 (140€) per night for two. You should however check the up to date rate from their website .
Overall
Overall ★★★★★★★★☆☆
In my opinion hotel Swiss Night By Fassbind offers good value for money because of the great location and comfy sleep it offers. Switzerland in general quite expensive compared to many other European countries so this hotel actually quite cheap there. The hotel we stayed last summer in Zürich was even a bit cheaper but it was not as cozy or in as good location even though it had quite good money-quality ratio and great views. So, if you look for coziness and great location Fassbind is the hotel for you in this price range.
Have you ever been to Zürich? If yes, where did you stay there? If no, would you like to go?
I love Switzerland, this hotel is great value for money and looks great ❤
