Hotel Review: Tulip Inn Eindhoven, Netherlands
Location
Location ★★★★★★★★★☆
This hotel is perfect for changing flights overnight. The airport isn’t very far from the Eindhoven downtown but if you want to do things as easy as possible this is a great hotel for staying just over a night.
We were flying from Ibiza to Finland via Eindhoven and Stockholm. We had to change flights overnight in Eindhoven. This airport is quite small and they don’t offer any lounges and there aren’t much opportunities for shopping either. So spending a night in that small and very packed airport wasn’t an option for us.
When you come out from the arrivals area this hotel will be right there for you 50 meters (20 feet) after the exit. You can enter this hotel without leaving the airport which is great especially if the weather is not good outdoors.

This hotel isn’t anything luxurious. However, it offers good value for money and a safe place for you to sleep.
The interior decor of this hotel is very unique and different to what I’m used to. There are a lot of colors and a bit burlesque styled corridors.
What comes to services the service by the front desk clerk was nothing special he served us politely and did everything required. So nothing to complain but nothing outstanding either.
The hotel also offers food – there is a breakfast during the morning and snack bar open during evening and night time. We didn’t try the bar. The breakfast had a good selection of different food. The quality was again okay – not bad but not special either. One fun detail was that some of the items there like mueslis came from local start-up companies.
Additionally, there was a fitness room available. It was huge but not very well equipped. However, if you stay one night and want to do something sporty this will be fine for that, I think.

The room wasn’t big but it was big enough for one night stays without too much stuff. There were some nice details like the pastel-colored painting above our bed and tea maker in the room.
The bed had really weird feeling bedsheets. They were made of some kind of hard, even plastic like, textile. Those felt very uncomfortable at the beginning but since I was super tired I got used to those fast and slept very well after all.
The bathroom included a toilet and shower. There were some complimentary shower products and towels available. Everything was clean and okay.
One weird thing was that the sink was located near the bed in the room instead of in the bathroom. I didn’t like that too much because to wash your hands after going to the bathroom you must first touch the doorknob with dirty hands. However, it was nice to be able to wash teeth or drink water even when someone else is in the shower. Anyhow, I’d either locate the sink in the bathroom or have two sinks.
Other notes
This hotel has very interesting painted details in the rooms and corridors. The style of this hotel is nice and unique.
Overall
Overall ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆
If your changing flights overnight in Eindhoven and you need a place to stay, Tulip Inn Eindhoven is an affordable and nice hotel to stay. They will offer you a stay which won’t wow you but everything is working and the room is clean. You can see up to date rates and book a room via the website of Tulip Inn Eindhoven.
The breakfast will offer you some local startup culture and a sneak peek to the food culture of the Netherlands. Overall, a good option for staying overnight without leaving the airport.
