Today’s theme is inspiration & healthy living! Today is Monday which means beginning of the new week, new healthy and happy week that will be better than the week before, right?

In this post I’ll share 10 inspiring ideas you should try during this summer to start your mornings full of energy, vitamins and good vibes. The idea for this post came from yesterday’s conversation with my fiancée. He wants to try some new healthy options for mornings and I decided to share my ideas here for us and for you guys.

I hope you enjoy! Also, feel free to share your healthy breakfast favorites in comments. I cannot wait to get inspired by those!

Alright, so let’s begin!

TOP 5 Healthy Breakfast Ideas for the Summertime

1. Smoothies

Smoothies made of the fresh berries, fruit and veggies of the season are not only trendy but also full of nutrients! Add some flax seeds, oats or yoghurt to add even more nutrients in. I love the happy vibrants colors and fresh taste of smoothies – they’ll make you smile for sure!

2. Overnight Oats

Anyone else who doesn’t know how to boil oats properly? If you’re tired of that hot clumpy thing called oatmeal this is for you! Get all the healthy fiber and vitamins without boiling anything. The concept of overnight oats is that you take the oats to a bowl or jar with some water, milk, juice or other liquid. You can also add anything from berries to raw cacao powder to add some color, flavor and vitamins. Then you put the mixture to the fridge overnight and enjoy at the morning.

Tip: if you made this one to jar it’s also easy to take with to commutes, office, etc!

3. Banana Pancakes

Do you love pancakes but want to eat healthy? You might think that’s an issue not to be resolved but actually it isn’t! Banana pancakes are the correct answer to your calls. They’re made with bananas, eggs, egg whites, oats and spices. There are many variations but anyhow the point is not to use any sugar or processed flour but still enjoy the deliciousness of pancakes. Check out my banana pancake recipe here!

4. Smoothie bowls

Have you already drank too many smoothies during this summer? Don’t worry there’s another exciting way to enjoy those vitamins and nutrients in a nice cooling way! Smoothie bowls are like smoothies except they have thicker texture and you can top them with different things like fresh whole berries, fruit slices, nuts, seeds, etc. Super yummy!

5. Fresh Omelette

Do you love omelettes on the morning but want something more fresh? Tune your omelette with some salsa or fresh veggies! In Miami I found my summer omelette favorite which was a Mexican style one including some beans, feta, tomatoes, pepper and red salsa served with creme fraiche. Yum!

  3. I love all of these breakfasts! Since doing a Whole 30 (30 days without grains, dairy, sugar, legumes), I’ve been on a kick where I just eat banana with nut butter for breakfast. Even now that I’m incorporating some grains and dairy back into my diet, it’s just such an easy thing to eat first thing in the morning. If I have a bit more time, I’ll do eggs or oatmeal.

    1. Oh wow! That diet sounds a bit hard but I hope it helps you feel better. I could probably do smoothies with berries, seeds and vegan milk like cashew or almond milk in them with that kind of diet. 🙂 Eggs and oatmeal also sound delicious!

    1. Haha, actually making a smoothie from previously frozen berries and some liquid doesn’t take more than a minute – and you can eat it on go in a car, or while walking or commuting. 🙂 Also, overnight oats are great because they don’t take any time on morning and they can be eaten on the go!
