Travel Plans 2018

Posted by

Hey there, I hope you’re having a wonderful day! Today I’ll discuss a bit about my travel plans for the year 2018. So far I have only traveled from home to work and university (which obviously are not counted traveling!). Last year we did the road trip to Europe and this year there will be multiple travels coming!

My Travel Plans 2018

March

We’ll start exploring some new places again with my fiancee. March this year we’ll be heading to Geneva, Switzerland and Ibiza, Spain. As you know, we love multi-destination trips so here’s one more of those! If you’re interested about visiting multiple countries at once, learn my tips for booking flights here, I also written about finding cheap flights in case you’re interested in saving some money while traveling. 🙂

April-May

After Geneva and Ibiza I’ll be 1-2 months in Finland. I’d love to travel a bit in here, probably go to North for the first time or visit my favorite Finnish city, Tampere and blog about it. Let’s see how those national travels will be. Anyhow, I hope I’ll find at least a bit time to explore here in Finland.

May-June

In either May or June I’ll be traveling for business for a change. Last time my employer offered me to travel was two years ago for one training. This time will be a bit different since I’ll be training staff of another company in Norway. I’m super excited for this! And before you ask, I’m not allowed to tell the company I work for here on the blog so please don’t ask it. 🙂

Above: The last time I visited Norway was a 12-hour stopover in Oslo on our way from Finland to Miami. Norway sure is a nice and clean country and I cannot wait to go there again. 🙂

June-August

The trip I’m waiting the most will take place during summertime when we’ll have our honeymoon which will include multiple places in Europe and Asia. You can learn more about our destinations in my previous post about our honeymoon.

We might also travel a bit in Finland during the summer because I won’t be studying and we should a bit more time for exploring. I’d at least like to go to Kotka, it’s like a tradition for us to go there and eat strawberries by the sea haha.

September-December

We haven’t yet planned the travels after honeymoon because well, I don’t have university schedules yet and I’m neither not sure how much money we want to put on traveling after the honeymoon. Anyhow, I’m dreaming to have enough money to go to the US. A friend of mine just moved to California and it would be superb to (finally!) go explore the West Coast.

Above: My last time in the US was over two years ago when I visited Miami and NYC. I absolutely love the USA and I feel a bit shocked that it has actually been over two years since I visited there for the last time. Hopefully, I can get back there soon.

What are your travel plans for 2018? Have you already traveled somewhere this year?

    1. Brazil sounds cool! I’ve never been to South America. I hope you enjoy your trip there! 😄 2017 I only did one trip – an European roadtrip, so now after 8 months without any abroad travels going around a bit more this year feels great.

    1. I hope it’s interesting! 🙂 I’ll post about what to do there after the trip, and probably also review our hotel if it’s nice. I love Switzerland in general so I’m really looking forward seeing Geneva for the first time.

  3. Ah that’s amazing! Our only locked travel destination is Stockholm at the moment & Tromsø. We need to keep a tight budget as we’re going to Maldives in 2020 for our 10th anniversary haha.

    1. Big thumbs up for your plans! Those are like the two favorites I’d love to visit every year. Beach escapes, especially in the middle of winter, are lovely. And well, NYC is a wonderful city. If I could choose I’d only shop in Chicago and NYC. Happy travels, Kari!

    1. Don’t envy darling, just do plan how to travel more yourself. 🙂 That’s a much better way to use your energy! This year I think I won’t have chance to visit India but it would great to explore more Asia during upcoming years.

    1. Oh wow! I wish I’d be from Miami. I’ve always dreamed of living somewhere warm. 🙂 I wish I could visit the US soon, I loved living there. People were super friendly and helpful, and I also loved how all new products come there first and you have so many things to do and explore. 😄

    1. Well, it’s great to explore your country and areas nearby sometimes. Then the abroad travels will feel a lot better when you have stayed close to home for a while. 🙂

  5. Wow those places are so cool, lucky you! I love to travel, but still haven’t decide where to go this year. I think I will go to Croatia, Montenegro, and Germany (my brother just moved there). That is all for now. 🙂

    1. Lovely plans! I’ve never been to Croatia or Montenegro. It would be great to do another road trip to explore the rest of the Europe. Maybe one day. 😄 I hope you enjoy your travels, Zana!
