Oh wow! It’s already February. Months have gone by super fast during the winter! Today I’ll offer you a little update about my life during last couple of months. My last what’s up update is my How I Did with My 2017 New Years Resolutions post from the end of last December and a lot have happened since then. 🙂
Studies (Medicine & Economics)
Above: This semester started with my first ever night shift in the hospital. And I’m happy to say that it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Staying awake the whole night sure is hard but when you have something to do it’s at least a bit easier.
Last fall was super busy and at the moment I feel like a winner that can achieve anything. I survived under huge pressure and this month I’ll be celebrating my graduation to bachelor of medicine, yeah (finally)!
It also feels great that between January and April I’ll have 3.5 weeks of school and 3 weeks off work. Moreover, I’ll be done with traveling to uni at late April – so 75% of this year is already behind. In Finnish medical school the third year is known to be the hardest one so the rest should be easier. Btw would you guys be interested in reading how’s it like to study medicine in Finland?
What comes to my economics studies I’ve already done one course and I’m working with couple more. It feels good to progress all the time.
Above: this winter has included quite much driving and commuting, I don’t actually even want to know how many kilometers I’ve traveled back and forth in Finland this year.
Blogging and Some
I’ve also done some excellent work with blogging so far. I got super inspired during Christmas break and I’ve already started scheduling and sketching post for the whole year. I’ve done a schedule, I’m even more organized than ever.
I’ve also got huge amount of collaboration requests. Nowadays I have requests to choose from, every time I collaborate I keep you guys in mind and I want that every article here is honest, high quality and something that matching the brand and values of Dreamer Achiever.
Because of the huge amount of request (and because some of them are actually paid – not just free candy bars but actual money wow!) I am planning to start running my own business as a content creator, writer and photographer. I’m still having my real job though. But hopefully one day this could be my real job.
Above: In the Finnish Travel Fair I met 5 other Finnish bloggers that were there for the first as well, in the picture I have the bloggers from: 1) Hetamentaries (EN/FI), 2) Dreamer Achiever (EN) , 3) Anna-Maria K (FI), 3) Ja sitten matkaan (FI), 4) 666 Places (FI), 5) Drama on the Road (EN).
One thing I’m additionally proud of is that I was visiting Finnish Travel Fair (Matka 2018) this year as a blogger / press. This is the first time I’ve been in a blogger event (I know it’s crazy that I’ve had this blog for three years and had my old one for five and I have never participated). Why this is so cool is that I get to know some cool fellow bloggers in real life there.
This event takes places in Helsinki every January, if you’re interested. I’ll do a post about this even to remind you about it and to share the latest links later this year.
I hope there will be a lot more blogger events, collabs, high quality content creating and some photo sales in upcoming months! I’ve done great so far. And btw, if you’re interested to collaborate check this out or if you want to buy my photos check my Shutterstock portfolio.
Other
My book project is progressing slowly. I have also couple other writing projects in my mind and I cannot stop loving these. Creating is such a big passion for me. I hope you can feel the same with your studies, work or hobbies. Remember that we have to create ourselves and our dream lives!
The upcoming wedding and travels have also kept me busy. I’ll be posting about my travel plans for this year later this month. If you’re interested how our wedding planning is going – check the posts about our upcoming wedding here.
How has your year been so far? Anything cool to share? 🙂
Hei ihana lukea sun teksiä! En yleensä jaksa keskittyä kovin pitkään englanninkielisiin blogijuttuihin, mutta tykkään sun tavasta kirjoittaa. Jatka samaan malliin 👍

hyvää huomenta!
You are juggling a lot. Economics with medicine is an interesting combi. Very vastly different!

Hyvää huomenta! I didn’t know you guys know some Finnish. 😄
But yes, it’s not the most typical one. I hope I could have a job or own business that combines those two together. I’m really looking forward to see where am I in ten or twenty years! 🙂

Good for you! Congrats on the upcoming graduation! I can’t say my winter has been nearly as productive, but I admire you ambition! Creating a schedule for your blog is a great idea – is it too late to set a new year’s resolution? Ha! Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on everything going so well. sounds like you have a ton going on. My life seems to be pretty booked but I feel like a lazy bum in comparison with all that you have to do. I am sure it will be exciting to partner with more people and more brands this year. That’s always exciting.

Well, always when you start comparing to others you find something that seems to be better, but don’t focus on that instead focus on making your life wonderful, and achieve things you love. 🙂

Ah nice well done. In my country, the 3rd year of medical school is considered the hardest too as there is an exam called MB that you have to pass at the end of the year.

I’m happy that in Finland we don’t have one huge exam at any point, anyhow, the spring is full of smaller ones you must pass. This is also the first year with so much responsibility since we start working with actual patients. Thank you for the comment, it’s always interesting to read how things are in other countries. 🙂

Yes that event was a lot of fun! The whole day was for bloggers and press to explore different companies and network with them and each other. 🙂 I’m planning to participate more events this year and also to write about this event before the same event next year. If you happen to be in Finland that event takes place in January every year. 🙂
