This hotel is located in XX minutes drive from downtown Zürich. There was plenty of parking space available at the roads nearby. Thus it’s easy to park around the area and parking is cheap, only 0.50fr per hour on Monday-Saturday daytime and free on nights and Sundays.

The hotel is a cute pink building with three floors. In here you’ll get a lot of privacy especially on weekends because the service staff is in hotel only during daytime on weekdays.

 

It was a little chocking for us at the beginning to realize there won’t be anyone waiting for us. Nobody either answered our calls – we tried to call and email them multiple times during Saturday (we were arriving Saturday night). For me, it felt extra rude that they actually never answered. They didn’t apologize or ask if we figured out everything or how they could have done better. Just nothing.

 

Don’t be chocked, there is a well-working check-in machine waiting for you. You need your reservation number or your name to get the room keys. Also, when you leave you just drop your keys to a box located in their reception. Fortunately these worked, because I wasn’t quite sure if their so called emergency number would have answered either.

 

Because there isn’t service personnel all time there isn’t either breakfast, pool, gym or other amenities or luxuries. However, the room was clean and nice. This hotel isn’t for luxury seekers but if you just want sleep well, cook a bit and get your car parked nearby this is a good hotel for you.

 

Plus: If you’re hungry there is a quite fine Italian restaurants located at the downstairs in the same building. The restaurant is open from afternoon to late dinner time.

The rooms were in decorated with a quite simple and minimalistic way. There was a bed, a small kitchenette, a small kitchen table with two chairs, TV and an ensuite bathroom.

Everything was clean and just fine but nothing was luxurious or special in the room. However, if you like cooking (and happen to get a room with a great view) this hotel is nice for staying in Zürich for couple of nights.

 

 

Other notes

 

Complimentary Wi-Fi which worked well during our stay. Note: if you have phone with free EU data Switzerland is not included to the plan because it’s not part of European Union even thought it’s in Europe.

 

In addition, it’s good for you to know that the Swiss laws say that most businesses including stores and some restaurants must be closed during nights and Sundays. So be prepared with some snacks if you’re arriving to Switzerland during Sunday or nighttime!

 

Great views, at least if your room happens to be in the third (which is the highest) floor.

 

Tip: You can try to ask for a room in upper floors, we had a great view above Zürich from our room. It was especially gorgeous to see the city at the time of sunset. If you cannot get room with a view, go check out Thermal Bath and Spa in downtown – it’s a spa with rooftop pool with gorgeous views!
