Would you like to explore Stockholm but still get nice nighttime sleep and probably cook some of your food but still live in a nice and spacy room that’s not shared with strangers? Biz Apartment Gärder is a perfect apartment hotel for you then! 5-10 minutes drive to downtown, parking lots in front of the hotel and location is nice and calm. In addition rooms and breakfast were excellent!
Location
Location ★★★★★★★★☆☆
Parking ★★★★★★★★☆☆
10 minutes drive from downtown Stockholm isn’t too bad. Otherwise, the location isn’t anything special, there were a playing field and some small stores and a couple of restaurants nearby. These weren’t anything superb but this place is close enough to downtown so it’s okay.
There was some public parking available in front of the hotel. You need to pay for parking from mon-sat, Saturday nights and Sundays the parking was free of charge. Additionally, you should be able to get to the hotel by taxi and bus too but we didn’t try these.
Hotel and Services
Cleaniness ★★★★★★★☆☆☆
Staff ★★★★★★★☆☆☆
Welcome Greeting ★★★★★★★★☆☆
There are 4 floors – 1 for reception and 3 that include rooms, gym (must be paid separately) and breakfast area (might or might not be included). There is also a complimentary outdoor swimming pool available in couple blocks from the hotel.
The reception is open 24/7. They were polite and most of the front desk staff spoke good English. Hotel, in general, was comfy and cute. Not the most luxurious one but what do you expect from an apartment hotel?
Rooms
Size ★★★★★★★★★★
View ★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Bathroom ★★★★★★★☆☆☆
Equipment ★★★★★★★★★☆
Coziness ★★★★★★★☆☆☆
Calm ★★★★★★★★★☆
The rooms were super spacy (I think ours was bigger than our home and we had the lowest possible room class haha!
You can expect to have a big and comfy bed, own kitchen with all the equipment like a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher, etc. You can also expect to have quite big bathroom and TV.
Rooms were well-cleaned though some little things could have been done better, f.ex. there were some small stains on our carpet. Nothing to be worried for but still.
What I liked in the rooms especially was the personality. There was plenty of paintings, luxurious curtains, good amount of decorative pillows, etc.
Other notes
Breakfast ★★★★★★★★★☆
Wi-Fi ★★★★★★★★★☆
Breakfast was outstanding. There was everything from fresh fruit, cheeses, different kinds of bread and cakes to warm dishes. There was also plenty of drink options (milks, juices, coffees, waters). Overall, a great experience. I’m not 100% sure if all the rooms are booked with breakfast, it’s anyhow possible to buy extra breakfast vouchers from the reception so you and your buddies can have a delicious start for the day.
The wifi in this hotel is very fast and works great. For you, my fellow some addicts, this is some great news, right? 😉
Overall
Overall ★★★★★★★★☆☆
This hotel is good for longer and shorter stays in Stockholm. I’d recommend this place especially for travelers with car. If you need to have your own kitchen or maybe just a lot of room in your room, this is a right choice.
Good value for money and the hotel’s website tells that you can also stay here for a longer while. Sounds good to me.
Great photos! It’s fun to see hotels across the world from me. Also now I want breakfast food. haha!

Sounds like a lovely stay! When we were in Stockholm we stayed in Clarion Hotel. The room was a bit too dark for us, but if the room would have been anything like this I’d loved it even more haha.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Clarions in general but never tried the one in Stockholm. This room sure was very comfy, full of light and more than enough space for us two. 🙂

I love the fact yours had light in it 🙂 But yeah, the one in Södermalm was lovely & it had the most amazing hotel breakfast I’ve seen haha 😀

Stockholm is a really nice place to visit! It’s very beautiful, has a lot of interesting shops and boutiques focusing on Scandinavian design. And their food is also good and in most cases healthy. I hope you can visit some day soon, Zana! 🙂

I was in Stockholm this summer for the first time. If you were staying for a while in the city, I can see this being a good option.

Yes, we were traveling with a car so this hotel had a very good location. Parking near the old town is never nice but here we did not face any issues. Also, this hotel was low in price compared to room size and amenities of hotels in downtown. 🙂

Great that you liked to review, Justine! Stockholm sure is worth visiting. And it’s also very near to other Scandinavian cities, Copenhagen, Oslo and Helsinki – so if you have more time you could probably go check more than just Stockholm. 🙂

Oh, thank you for the compliments! 🙂 Those photos are actually taken with two years old iPhone 6S Plus but good composition with small enhancements with photoshop can do miracles sometimes.

It looks like it was a pretty great hotel. Although I think I would have been disappointed not to have as nice a view. Then again, if I were saving money for other things I am all for it. The breakfast looked pretty spectacular for a hotel as well.

This hotel was about the same price than half smaller rooms in downtown so I thought I’m fine without the view. But of course, it would have been nice to have a gorgeous view in addition to big room and nice breakfast. 🙂
