Would you like to explore Stockholm but still get nice nighttime sleep and probably cook some of your food but still live in a nice and spacy room that’s not shared with strangers? Biz Apartment Gärder is a perfect apartment hotel for you then! 5-10 minutes drive to downtown, parking lots in front of the hotel and location is nice and calm. In addition rooms and breakfast were excellent!
10 minutes drive from downtown Stockholm isn’t too bad. Otherwise, the location isn’t anything special, there were a playing field and some small stores and a couple of restaurants nearby. These weren’t anything superb but this place is close enough to downtown so it’s okay.
There was some public parking available in front of the hotel. You need to pay for parking from mon-sat, Saturday nights and Sundays the parking was free of charge. Additionally, you should be able to get to the hotel by taxi and bus too but we didn’t try these.
Hotel and Services
Welcome Greeting ★★★★★★★★☆☆
There are 4 floors – 1 for reception and 3 that include rooms, gym (must be paid separately) and breakfast area (might or might not be included). There is also a complimentary outdoor swimming pool available in couple blocks from the hotel.
The reception is open 24/7. They were polite and most of the front desk staff spoke good English. Hotel, in general, was comfy and cute. Not the most luxurious one but what do you expect from an apartment hotel?
The rooms were super spacy (I think ours was bigger than our home and we had the lowest possible room class haha!
You can expect to have a big and comfy bed, own kitchen with all the equipment like a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher, etc. You can also expect to have quite big bathroom and TV.
Rooms were well-cleaned though some little things could have been done better, f.ex. there were some small stains on our carpet. Nothing to be worried for but still.
What I liked in the rooms especially was the personality. There was plenty of paintings, luxurious curtains, good amount of decorative pillows, etc.
Breakfast was outstanding. There was everything from fresh fruit, cheeses, different kinds of bread and cakes to warm dishes. There was also plenty of drink options (milks, juices, coffees, waters). Overall, a great experience. I’m not 100% sure if all the rooms are booked with breakfast, it’s anyhow possible to buy extra breakfast vouchers from the reception so you and your buddies can have a delicious start for the day.
The wifi in this hotel is very fast and works great. For you, my fellow some addicts, this is some great news, right? 😉
This hotel is good for longer and shorter stays in Stockholm. I’d recommend this place especially for travelers with car. If you need to have your own kitchen or maybe just a lot of room in your room, this is a right choice.
Good value for money and the hotel’s website tells that you can also stay here for a longer while. Sounds good to me.
Great photos! It’s fun to see hotels across the world from me. Also now I want breakfast food. haha!
Nice to hear that you liked the post, Shelby! That breakfast sure was mouth watering. 😃
Sounds like a lovely stay! When we were in Stockholm we stayed in Clarion Hotel. The room was a bit too dark for us, but if the room would have been anything like this I’d loved it even more haha.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Clarions in general but never tried the one in Stockholm. This room sure was very comfy, full of light and more than enough space for us two. 🙂
I love the fact yours had light in it 🙂 But yeah, the one in Södermalm was lovely & it had the most amazing hotel breakfast I’ve seen haha 😀
Stockholm is on my wishlist! Damn, I would really love to visit that city. And this hotel review is really good, dear.
Stockholm is a really nice place to visit! It’s very beautiful, has a lot of interesting shops and boutiques focusing on Scandinavian design. And their food is also good and in most cases healthy. I hope you can visit some day soon, Zana! 🙂
I was in Stockholm this summer for the first time. If you were staying for a while in the city, I can see this being a good option.
Yes, we were traveling with a car so this hotel had a very good location. Parking near the old town is never nice but here we did not face any issues. Also, this hotel was low in price compared to room size and amenities of hotels in downtown. 🙂
I’ve never been to Stockholm but it’s definitely on my travel list! Will keep this place in mind when I finally fly over. Thanks for sharing x
Great that you liked to review, Justine! Stockholm sure is worth visiting. And it’s also very near to other Scandinavian cities, Copenhagen, Oslo and Helsinki – so if you have more time you could probably go check more than just Stockholm. 🙂
Man you have great photos and I love your rating scale. This is great review
Oh, thank you for the compliments! 🙂 Those photos are actually taken with two years old iPhone 6S Plus but good composition with small enhancements with photoshop can do miracles sometimes.
Thanks for sharing your review, if i end up coming to stockholm would definitely come back to this post.

I’m happy to hear that! Stockholm is a nice city, if you have change to visit there take a weekend or a week to explore it. 🙂
This hotel looks really good and since I am starting to plan my Europe trip, I love to see the hotels and places that you recommend. I loving the look of the buffet bar too and the greenery in the reception area, its so gorgeous.
I’m happy to help with your planning. I’ll be sharing hotel and restaurant reviews from different European countries during this fall and winter. So stay tuned, Marleen! 🙂
Room looks swanky enough, sure, but I’m ready for that breakfast bar!!! Holy smokes!
I know! That breakfast was superb!
I’m loving the colour scheme of the room! And the breakfast looks so epic!!
Yes the colors were nice and made the room look cozy. And that breakfast… yum!
I love how you gave scores for every aspect, it’s very helpful.
Thanks for sharing!
I’m happy to hear that you like the way I wrote this review, Tadeja! I personally found the stars fast, easy and visual way to tell about the hotel. And photos and text are important for telling why I’ve given those stars. 🙂
This looks like a really lovely apartment and with lots of room. Need to visit Stockholm.
Yes, it was. Stockholm is gorgeous l, you should definitely visit there, Elizabeth!
Lovely room, but THAT BREAKFAST BUFFET THOUGH. Oh my goodness. I would never leave.
Haha, yup! I was honestly thinking that I’ll skip the roadtrip and just stay in Stockholm haha! But well, luckily this wasn’t only good breakfast along the way. 🙂 More yummy reviews are coming soon! xxx
It looks like it was a pretty great hotel. Although I think I would have been disappointed not to have as nice a view. Then again, if I were saving money for other things I am all for it. The breakfast looked pretty spectacular for a hotel as well.
This hotel was about the same price than half smaller rooms in downtown so I thought I’m fine without the view. But of course, it would have been nice to have a gorgeous view in addition to big room and nice breakfast. 🙂
For the breakfast and only i could choose this hotel! Just kidding, looks like a wonderful place to stay. And i want so much to visit Stockholm. Great presentation!
Thanks Helene! I’m clad you enjoyed the review – and the breakfast pictures, haha! 🙂
