Day Off in Helsinki 15th Jan: Wedding Expo

Every January there is a wedding expo in Katajanokka Helsinki Finland. This year it was last weekend. We had a Sunday off and we visited there, studied a bit, ate excellent steaks and finally went to gym. Below a bit more about that day.

Usually we have to woke up 7-9am because of work. On Sundays we love to sleep until it’s 10-11am, it’s the best feeling to wake up with no rush. At morning we did some reading and essays because we’re both studying economics in an university.

At the afternoon we went to the wedding expo. The event is about all different wedding related companies telling what they do. You can get some ideas and inspiration for things like decorations and ring. You can also see the people behind those brands and websites. For me it’s important to hear why I should use a specific company.

This was our second time in this wedding expo event. Last time we found out where we want to have our wedding. This time this event helped us figure what kind of second ring I want. We also met one photographer who had stunning portfolio and who we are thinking to hire. We also got tips for invitations and saw some nice pieces of those. Also I got some kind of idea where I could find the dress for my perfect day.

After the wedding expo we went Manhattan Steakhouse Esplanade Helsinki to have excellent grilled steaks. Our friends showed this place to us last year and we’ve been visiting it occasionally since. They have excellent steaks and salmon there. Also their sweet potato fries are excellent! If you’re going there, make sure you download Pivo app to your phone in prior. After eating we drove home and went through all the fliers we got. I want to save only the ones that might be useful when doing the planning and reservations.

At the night around 9-10pm we went to gym for a workout. I can see that it’s not the beginning of January anymore because the gym was basically empty. Same thing every year. Are you still doing well with your New Years Resolutions?
