Advertisement Material for University of Eastern Finland 1/2

Posted by

Couple weeks ago my Finnish home university’s international services really surprised me by asking me to shoot advertisement material for them. Some of my pics might become poster(s) and some are just used in university’s website or other materials. Wow. I haven’t done photos for companies or communities for a while (last time was like 2010 😀 ) so I was surprised but pleased.

I made about fifteen pics about internationality for them. In most my Finnish friend was modeling for me and I was modeling in couple. They choose three great pics. Those were in my top 5 too. I’ll share you eight best photos in two posts. I’ll also add some info about them.

My assignment was basically to shoot photo of Finnish student in international environment. They wanted photos that support new brand and imago of university.  eco-friendliness, international networking and enjoying studies. This time I’ll share four pics of my friend – three that I liked but that they didn’t choose and my favorite that’s chosen.

NoraTarvustouefHill5d 35mm, f/7.1, 1/125, ISO100

I thought this one could have been great banner photo for their website but I guess they didn’t need one.

NoraTarvustouefWalking 42mm, f/5, 1/2500, ISO400

One of the chosen ones. This is my personal favorite and I could easily see this one as a big poster. I love how using different perspective makes kind of boring situation look fun. I also love my friends face and how natural she looks even thought all these photos are made for this assignment during weekend. I’m also super clad how she looks happy even thought it was super cold out there when we shot these. Note: I have permission to share all these photos, pictures including “© University of Eastern Finland 2015, photographer Nora Tarvus” became chosen. All rights of every other pics still belong to me.
