My Facebook keeps asking me my hometown. People always ask – especially in States where you’re from and where you live and what you want to do with your life. I used to think like most of people I’ve met – I want own a house from somewhere nearby capital of Finland. I used to want nice and secured career as a physician. Some traveling. Everyday hobby, going to gym and blogging about restaurants nearby etcetera.
While States I’ve realized that life has a lot more to give. Nowadays I live my life in periods of couple months. I usually know where I’m in a month but I have no idea where I’ll be in three months. I have became a lot more spontaneous and adventurous. I’ve also realized that I trust that in the end everything will be fine whatever happens. I used to worry a lot more.
Hancock tower, Chicago May 2014, The very first day in US – and actually very first day abroad without family members. 🙂
I have lots of plans for my future and I work hard every day to success. But the fact you do so doesn’t mean that your everyday life has to be boring. I’d like to come back to States to do internships, summer jobs and maybe other exchanges and mba degree. I want to carry on my studies and get even greater CV but that don’t have to mean staying in one city and university for six years. I want to see different views to life and career. I want to meet all great people around world. I want to try and explore something new every day.
Something in my life follows me everywhere. Passion to blogging, music, exercising, dancing, photographing, technology… You can feel happy and home wherever you are when you do things you love. Never lose yourself even though you wouldn’t anymore know where you’re from or where you’re going. Enjoy the journey. Maybe one day you’ll find yourself settling in one place but don’t worry if it’s not now – or if it never happens.
I found great new song from YouTube that inspired me to write this text, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
“Live a Life You’ll Remember”
Ps. It’s pretty cool how much you can change a picture with Photoshop above you can see before version of the photo that’s in the middle of this post. And best thing is that the editing took less than 5 minutes.
Pps. To Habiteers waiting for the photos: I’ve edited about 50% of them now so some of them will be posted and more published in my personal Facebook during weekend. 🙂
