This is funny thing you might not have even think about. This is one of most annoying things in States in my opinion. In Finland I’m pretty much use to the fact that there is button that you push to flush the toilet, Finnish toilets also have some kind of cover, always. In my opinion it’s essential because of hygiene reasons. You don’t want to know how far all the bacteria and tiny water drops can fly when flushing a toilet when the cover is open or there is no cover at all.
Here is an example. No cover on left one and no flush buttons. Can you guess how this is supposed to flush?
Ps. Why toilets are called restrooms here? Should I go there to rest? Or spend rest of my day? 😀
